Control what team members can see and do in ClaimPort with role-based permissions.

User Roles

ClaimPort includes four predefined roles:

Owner

Full access to everything including:

  • Billing and subscription management
  • Delete business account
  • All admin capabilities

Admin

Complete operational access:

  • Manage team members
  • Configure settings
  • Access all claims
  • View analytics
  • Manage integrations

Manager

Supervisory access:

  • View and manage all claims
  • Approve/reject claims
  • View team performance
  • Access analytics
  • Cannot modify settings

Agent

Standard claim handling:

  • View assigned claims
  • Process and update claims
  • Communicate with customers
  • Limited analytics access

Managing Team Members

Inviting Members

  1. 1.Go to Settings > Team
  2. 2.Click Invite Member
  3. 3.Enter email and select role
  4. 4.Click Send Invitation

Changing Roles

  1. 1.Find the team member in the list
  2. 2.Click Edit
  3. 3.Select new role
  4. 4.Click Save

Removing Members

  1. 1.Find the team member
  2. 2.Click Remove
  3. 3.Confirm the action
  4. 4.Their access is immediately revoked

Custom Permissions (Enterprise)

Enterprise plans can create custom roles with specific permissions:

  • Limit access to specific product categories
  • Restrict claim value thresholds
  • Control export capabilities
  • Set approval limits

Best Practices

  1. 1.Principle of least privilege - Give only necessary access
  2. 2.Regular audits - Review permissions quarterly
  3. 3.Offboarding process - Remove access immediately when team members leave
  4. 4.Document roles - Keep internal documentation of who has what access
